Today, 27 March 2026 Rwanda hosted a Pre-Validation Meeting on the Open Budget Survey (OBS) Debt Accountability Module. The workshop brought together key stakeholders to review OBS preliminary findings on public debt transparency, participation, and oversight.

In his opening remarks, TI Rwanda Executive Director, Mupiganyi, emphasized the importance of transparency, accountability Citizen Participation in public debt Management.
He noted that strong debt governance is essential for sustaining public trust & sound fiscal management.
The workshop concluded with a shared commitment to enhance transparency, strengthen oversight & improve public participation in the debt management in Rwanda.
TI Rwanda will integrate the valuable inputs received to finalize the OBS–Debt Accountability Module findings.
